What Have We Learned About Species Introduction? |

According to thesydneymorningherald there is a trip planned to send mice to space to breed.
Not to be outdone by Russia, who hatched quail eggs in space, US+AU are gonna blow millions of dollars so some rodents can fu** in space, to hopefully find something about the possibility of humans bing bred in irregular gravity.
"Before people could live, work and have babies in Martian colonies likely to be established before the end of this century, said Jason Hoogland, a Queensland PhD engineering student, scientists would have to know how living creatures responded to the planet's weak gravity." As an interesting side note, they threw this into the article:
"The spacecraft will be launched from Russia aboard a modified Cold War missile developed to hurl nuclear missiles at the West."
Make of that addition, what you will.
