JERUSALEM (AP) — A military court Monday approved the expulsion of three Palestinian relatives of suspected terrorists from the West Bank to Gaza, Israel TV reported. Human rights activists said they would appeal the decision to a civilian court.
The expulsions would be the first of their kind and a new Israeli tactic aimed at discouraging Palestinians from carrying out attacks. The Israeli Defense Ministry and military refused to comment on the report.
Palestinian political factions, meanwhile, acceded to militant groups and scrapped a call for an end to attacks on Israeli civilians. Instead, the unity meeting endorsed the Palestinians' two-year-old uprising Israel.
Ok WTF! EXPLAN TO ME WHY IT'S OK TO EXPELL INNOCENT PEOPLE WHO HAVE COMMITED NO CRIME OTHER THEN BEING RELATED TO A CRIMINAL! I know the intent is to diminish bombings by threatening the families of bombers but this is extremely wrong!

I highly doubt an Israeli military court is going to give shit if the evidence is weak. I will concede that if these individuals were directly helping the bombers then yes punishment is needed but it doesn’t look as though that was what these people are being expelled for. |
