The last French Concorde flight just happened. The Brits aren't far behind. A few more weeks and you won't be able to cross the Atlantic in 3 hours for any price...

For me this is a watershed event. We are beginning to lose some of our hard earned technology. There is no replacement supersonic airliner anywhere near the prototype stage.

What else are we going to lose? Isn't technology and the wisdom to wield it our best approach to the future?
