Im copying this straight from the Sept. 2001 issue of a readers digest. "Thats Outrageous."
"Divine Lawsuit"
Prison inmate Chad DeKoven says he has been wrongly held for armed robbery of a Taco Bell. He's filed a lawsuit claiming that he's God, and therefore owns everything on earth.
DeKoven's 125-page complaint demands a pardon from the state, or ten-full time corrections officers to tend to him at the maximum-security facility in Standish, plus the right to come and go as he pleases. He also want a pardon from the U.S. government, or 600 million metric tons of gold, 500 trillion barrels of crude oil and other valuables.
While DeKovens claims may provoke some chuckles, frivolous prison lawsuits are no laughing matter. In 1996 the National Association of Attorneys General estimated that thsi type of litigation costs taxpayers at least million a year.
