well here's what happened. I ordered my 17" lcd from a place called computerhq.com. they had it the cheapest and in stock. my monitor arrived on time, but the box was really shoddy and bent up, and was packed with bags from toys-r-us and safeway. the monitor did not work out of the box. the backlight was broken. I called KDS and got a replacement fairly speedy and hassle free, thankfully. I just noticed on the box of the original monitor, underneath the shipping ordinance, was an older one with some guy who lives in harrisburgh, with an RMA number underneath. I'm pissed! Some guy broke his monitor and sent it back, and instead of refurbishing it, they just sold it defective to another customer (me)! total bullshit. well atleast i have a nice brand new working one now.

duh that was the whole point of this rant

if i bought something for 50% discount that I knew was refurbished, I would be pissed if it was broken but I wouldn't make a big deal of it.

I swear I've ordered from that place before, possibly the video card I got for my friend for Christmas, and I got my shit ok...they obviously screwed up on your order, but who knows if that was a one time thing, or a trend happening with many people's orders.
