most likely it was just someone who does spam mail for his/her own personal business, aand just went and took an e-mail list from someone.. not too terribly hard to do.. i get shit like that all the time DKB.. nothing to worry about.. that's why you have more than one email account..

I know the shit that you're going through. I get that crap all the time from people I've never heard of. I get stuff from debt collectors about "Are you in credit debt? we can help" ok.. I'm 16 and don't have a job, check book or credit cards of any kind.. That's when I learned to just look at the addresses of who the emails are from and delete that mails that I have no clue as to who sent them. It seems to cut down on the entire hassle.

Sign up with spamcop.net and send them the emails with full headers. Then they track them down and take appropriate action.

its not that its just credit card thingys. its mainly resonses from people as if i've contacted them and tried to answer questions for them. some bint is sending replys to me about alergic reactions and another about endoscopic examinations. WTF?! its like when you get crossed wires on a telephone only with email. i reply to these people telling them to fuck off but they act as if they havent heard me and keep talking as if i keep asnwering their questions

I have one extra email account. I use it for things I sign up for. (newsletters, etc.) so all the crap goes there. If you only have uno account get a filter. Or a new email address. About the questions, I've never gotten those. weird.

Clever trick to verify that the address is active.

I got a spam text message on my cell phone the other day. I picked up my phone, it said "new text message". I didn't know it did text messaging. So, I looked at it, and somebody was trying to tell me that interest rates are low and it would be a good time to refinance. I rent.

The odd thing was that it was being sent to someone else with a similiar last name to mine... like, it would be next on a list. I'm just scared that people will start getting this idea, and I'll be charged one minute for each damn piece of spam I get.
