how the fuck can the hinge screw on my glasses unscrew itself just by me putting my glasses in my pocket then taking them back out, 10 minutes later? how the fuck can the mechanical energy of me walking be transfered to the screw in such a precise way that the superglue (1000 ft-lbs strength) be broken, and the screw (tightly screwed on with a mini bolt) be undone?

bullshit.

contacts - they don't fog up, involve no screws, no superglue (though supergluing your glasses is another issue), and do not limit your range of vision. definately the way to go. but good luck.

i used to have contacts 2 years ago. i really liked them for those reasons, except when winter came the air was so dry my eyes were constantly itchy...it was torture! i think im gonna switch back tho asap these glasses are getting my nerves big time. plus then i could wear my oakleys and still be able to see.

I agree, dude. Contacts are the only way to go.

Actually, I'm hearing about more people getting their eyes zapped. My dad did it, and he's happy. One of my coworkers is doing it in a few weeks.

I personally won't do it for another 5-10 years, probably, since my eyes most likely aren't done growing yet, and I like the idea of letting the technology mature just a little further.

You should have been using something like Threadlock instead of Superglue. Not too sure how good that glue is at holding metals together.

only bad thing about contacts is falling asleep with them on and waking up not being able to see cos they grease up with white shit from the lack of oxygen or something. also when you've had them in for a while its harder to clean them if they start to dry up a bit but otherwise they rule. i still cant figure out how there are these new ones that you put in BEFORE you go to bed and wake up with them already in so you dont have to bother with them in the morning

edit: laser treatment is damn expensive too so i aint gonna do it for a while yet

I had lenses for a bit, but then my perscription changed

i'm thinking about getting LASIK when i have the money.

all you people who want to wait for it to mature a bit more, how long are you going to wait, it's already been around for like 10 years or so.

My uncle got that Laser eye sugery done a little while ago. Now he has better than 20/20 vision, but for about two weeks after the surgery he couldn't see shit all.

While I don't need glasses yet, I may in the not too distant future. I have one eye that is fairly bad, and my other eye is pretty good, so they used to cancel each other out, but I've been noticing a change latly to the worse, so I hope it fucking stops soon. Guess I'll find out during my next Medical in August. Yay.
