Before you take your precious opportunity to write up some smart ass reply-

My train of has thought went from 200\% to 5\% gradually.
I procrastinate to the point of not doing anything.
I'm NOT depressed. I feel fine.
My life is pointless, I just sit here and pump myself with cool music and other entertainment.

I think I've lost my real self somewhere.

Solutions? Suggestions? Comments?

Aren't you the guy who planned to do a 28 hour day or something.

If you are, is it wrong for me to say 'told you so'?
Could that have anything to do with it?

Seriously, we all have those days best described by that memorable quote: "Sometimes I sits and thinks, but most times I just sits."

Ya know, I think I know exactly what you mean, and I think I have a good idea as how to fix it. Basically all you have to realize is that most "enternainment" isn't that entirtaining, if you find yourself watching a show and are bored, realize your bored and think of something that is interesting. For example, I'll be playing a game, and getting all pissed off I stop, think "hey I'm not having fun", then go read a book or something. Now as for doing your work, you have to start thinking of the positive tihnks about doing things. Like you have to write a paper, you think hey! there's a good place to vent my anger! or you have to get some coding done, or you know anything that for some reason in your mind is classified as work, just try to think of something positive, that makes it really easy to do it 'cause your focusing on the positive aspects not the negitive.

...so basically you gotta realize video games and TV aren't always fun (for me they rarely are now, unless I have someone to play) and work isn't always hard or boring. Tell me if what I said made sense

wow nice triple post there anztac. but anyways i agree with you. i was so pissed off at high school for being a hole load of bullshit. i had college fever for 1 and a half years, but that feeling of meaninglessness only went away for about a week, until i realized that most teachers at the freshman level dont give a fuck if you pass or fail. i get my sense of meaning out of science, and that i am contributing to society. but thats just me. you have to find that one thing that works for you. once you do though, you will never (or hardly ever) be depressed.
