Seriously. No matter WHAT you know, people want you to share your knowledge with them. And it's always the SIMPLEST stuff, that they could learn themselves.I kept having this conversation a while back:
Dumbass: "Oh, help me with something or other, you're good with that."
Me: No, I'm busy."
Dumbass: "Awww, come on."
*Repeat above two lines five or six times, with increasing irritation on my part*
Me: "Why not just learn it yourself? I did. It's not that friggin' hard."
Dumbass: "But I'm too busy!"
Me: "And I'm not?! I'm not going to help you, I'm busy!"
Dumbass: "Fine, whatever..."
Between three hours later or the next day, I'd send the person a message.
Me:"Hi. Still need help with that? I'm not busy."
Dumbass, (as dickish as possible): "Hmph, NO, I figured it out ON MY OWN."
An hour later, when I'm busy again....Well, you get the picture.
