These are not myths that some hippy came up with while he was high. These are realities. Your car heats up in the sun, not becasue the sun "shines brighter" on all cars than everywhere else, but because glass produces the greenhouse effect. Carbon Dioxide does the same thing.
There is a whole in the ozone layer that is getting larger all the time.
Is there anyone out there that believes this is all a conspiracy to take their disel burning trucks away?

the surface of the earth is not covered by man made glass
and the ozone hole only gets larger in the winter, but it has been getting less large recently. nasa doesn't have enough data to show one way or the other what the cause of the ozone hole is.
man-made CO2 only accounts for 1% of the CO2 in the atmosphere. CO2 only accounts for 1% of the gas in the atmosphere. so basically you are complaining about 1 ten-thousandth of the atmosphere. even this amount is not proven to be doing anything.
there have been periods of cooling and heating of the earth before the industrial revolution.
the best solution to any problem that man made pollutants might have is to allow the united states to continue normal production. free markets --> higher prosperity --> cleaner environment. government restrictions --> lower prosperity --> dirtier industries.

I guess we're throwing the whole idea of a forum section free of trolls/flames/personal attacks entirely out the window, since apparently the moderator himself has dropped to that level.

he probably staged the whole me deleting posts things just so he could drop me from admin status so he could troll with impunity. maybe we'll get lucky and kuru will delete it...

that's a pretty serious accusation there, CK.
and out of left field, if you ask me.
while i'm sure someone staged your "disappearing" post(s), I'm also sure it wasn't me.
let me remind you that while you have been caught several times editing and/or deleting someone's post inappropriately, I never have.
probably has something to do with the fact that I've never done either of those. I'm like Kuru; I prefer to use <moderator>...</moderator> rather than "edit" and "delete."
if you piss me off to the point where I think action is necessary, I just chew you out and drop your priveleges.
Meanwhile, the logs show a very high amount of activity from you... and oddly enough, they're all deletes.
Do you wish to retract your statement?

A very conservative friend of mine informed me today that the Bush administration came out today and admitted that global warming is occuring and that we as a country must do something to stop it. He heard this on the news (I missed it), and was wondering if anyone else heard this. I think it's great that our leaders can finally admit that all the scientists out there that have been gathering data for years and years and have devoted their entire lives to studying this subject were right all along. After all, until and the administration currently in power says it's true, it's all just a big hippy lie.

hey DSL, we already discussed that, now we are discussing your off-topic troll. You unsuccessfully tried to divert attention away from it by flaming me yet again.
So, do you wish to retract YOUR statement?
