been getting hammered on tcp port 6346; 4000+ alerts in the last two days. nothin weird is going on, but I wish I knew what's up with this activity.
ok, so the new morpheus (which sucks, bah) does something on that port... annoys me that I'm getting so much traffic on it when I'm not even running the client, though.

sounds stupid, but you sure it's not in your taskbar thing? Sometimes I closed morpheus and forgot to close it out of the taskbar, too.
that port is used by all gnutella clients for connecting to the servers and stuff, btw

Back in the day when a lot of my friends ran limewire they were complaining about that a lot too. I think it's just an artifact of the gnutella system design.

back in the day? that came out... a couple summers or something. How "back in the day" can you get? I mean, if you were taking about commander keen or BBS's I could understand "back in the day"...

it's just the gnutella client trying it's best to throttle your bandwidth with you not even doing anything.
