Fortune has been smiling on both detnet and DSL this week....and lemme tell you, without DSL here, we'd have to go find another person just like him. DSL rocks! At least that's how we say it in Hollywood!

It's not that fast. Currently 384K up/down, with 5 static IPs. It is scheduled to be bumped to 768 in the next coming months.
Our old DSL connection got 1.5MBit because we were so close to the CO, but we need the upstream bandwidth of the T1. Serving off DSL sux0rs!

you can get DSL with higher upload. for an extra $20, i can tripple my up with verizon from 128k to 384k. Other ISPs i've seen advertized even higher up/down for a little more money, and far less than T1.
If you're going with T1 just to get higher upload, you should probably look into other DSL companies (unless you live in a shitty area for ISPs). Im guessing a corporate/buisness DSL account would probably cost a fuck of a lot less than T1.

I miss selling T1s. A T1 would cost me 300/mo and I would charge $1,500/mo or run some special to beat AT&Ts current deals and only charge $1100 ...that's still a hell of a markup. Curse the damn DSL/Cable community for ruining it for me!!! Oh well, at least I'm not out there trying to sell 56K frame-relay connections like some of the older telcos.

I'm paying less for this T1 than I would for high-upload DSL. Also, packets multiplex better over T1 than DSL, which means that one person can't hog all the bandwidth as easily.
