I just enrolled into a Web Design class, basically a tutorial in HTML and JavaScript. Good thing too, I was using Frontpage 2000 to make all my websites. Class is easy as crap too, much fun.
Anyway, I was wondering if you guys knew of any helpful sites, or just had any basic advice for me. I'm working on building up a new website for myself here.
Anywho, happy detnetting.

ZZZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzZZZZZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzz....
Unless they teach you how to use stylesheets and similar stuff, it is a waste of time.
Edit: oh yeah, having "nothing here yet" as content is a waste of time dude

-------------- Sir? May I recommend I load myself into the reverse-thrust tubes and you use my body as decoy-fodder? This will, of course leave me splattered across deep space and unable to complete today's laundry, for which I apologise in advance.

people say reading code helps them a lot when learning stuff... soo....
www.oswd.org -- Open Source Web Design
a lot of really good designs on there. once you got HTML good enough to throw together a ok looking site with a couple tables and some bold and italics, read through some of the code in those designs to better your knowledge and see some kickass ways to do things better.

Even as the resident Microsoft whore I don't touch Front Page. It's a steaming pile of something evil. Try Dreamweaver, it's a lot cleaner and you can have the layout view and the code on the screen at the same time. You can watch how the HTML is put together while you build your site dragging and dropping elements ...pretty soon you won't even see the code anymore.
