most older award bioses have master passwrods
other ways are flashing bios, removing the battery and letting it sit for a while which will reset it

Some motherboards, "some" cause I actually haven't seen one yet, have a jumper right next to the battery or BIOS. If you're that lucky, power down, switch the jumper, power up, power down again, then switch back.

regarding discharing the cmos via jumper:

you don't need to power up after switching the jumper to discharge position. just let it sit there for a bit (30 seconds will do it), then move it back and go on about your business.
