Ok, I built a PC for an organization and installed some software on it. I want to have everyone use separate logins, but still have common access to all of the software. Simple, yes? But for some reason, Pagemaker throws a registry error when I try to run it using a login other than the administrator.

I've done this stuff using NT 4.0 network policies, but I don't think you can do all the same stuff with Win 2K w/out being on a domain since it's designed to be a NOS.

Any suggestions (or flames for my stupidity).

Thanks.

Since you installed the software as Administrator, it probably installed some registry keys only for the Administrator account. I don't really know how you can make the program add the keys to all the accounts, but there must be someway. Contact their tech support. I bet they have a workaround.

You can't do that. Then you will trample over some other registry keys, and non of them will work! Since it seems to install some keys just for the user installing the software, there must be a command line option to tell it to rebuild the keys. So, you wouldn't just have to have each account login, run the command, and boom, it'll work. Just a thought. Your miles may vary.
