Is the A7A266 worth getting right now?
Does it have any known problems with GF2?
And how do I optimize the system for DDR?
Is DDR even worth it?

So here are my questions.
Help?

I can answer one of your questions:

Q) Is DDR worth it?
A) YES! If you look at the specs alone, you can see that it is on pare with Ramcrap as far as basic numbers, but DDR has an advantage: it has a much lower latency than RDRAM. Also, it is much cheaper, easier to make, and a natural evolution of the current technology. I think DDR will replace SDRAM very quickly, and RDRAM will die very quickly now that Intel doesn't bundle it with the P4's and with their DDR chipset for the P4 coming out Jan. 2002.
