I'd say XBox (and i'm getting one) for a couple reasons.

1. Built in DVD player that plays full sized DVD discs.
2. Broadband adapter (let me know if i'm mistaken... good to know now)
3. Specs are better
4. Development is easier, so really quick ports of PC games.
5. How many Pikachu games can you possibly fit in one system?
6. No faggy purple handle

edit - I won't be getting an XBox because I already have a computer that can kick several XBoxs' collective asses. And I already have Photoshop.

I'm still pining for a PS2, especcially now that Soul Reaver 2 is out. That game is going to be BAD ASS! The first one is my second-fav game of all time (behind FFII). You never get good story, good play, good writing, AND good voice-acting like the LoK games deliver...

Sorry...off-topic...I'd probably prefer an Xbox after seeing some prelims of the OddWorld (stunning) game for the Xbox and Luigi's Mansion for the Game Cube (queer).

Bottom line is that MS isn't hampered by the self-inflicted "family system" image that Nintendo gave themselves and are now trying to kind of weasel out of. They're trying to have it both ways now, family fun and some teenie-bop gore...but that's not really going to work...

Hehe ... both would be nice. XBox would likely be the one to stick around more ... although Mario Kart for the Cube would probably r0x0r in its own merits.

For now I'm keeping my PS2 for several good reasons:

FFX, GT3, GTA3, MGS2, DMC

Shipment should be here in a week. Funny thing is, my DC isn't exactly gathering dust right now either. I may have to get a DC, PS2, Cube, and XBox. Damn.
