Ok... I just finished upgrading my system to slackware-current (formatted everything first, so all reminates of 7.1 is gone... dunno why I did that exactly), which is a good thing. Except X won't work.

I'm pretty sure it's either the driver for my video card (Intel i740 generic thing), or my monitor... It catches a signal 11 when loading libvgahw.a.

any ideas about how to fix that would be greatly appriciated. I love my purdee X display and console's just to damned plain for my tastes (must have pretty women in background!)

Try drivers again. Last time I started getting SIG11's from my geForce2 it was because X (dumb as it is) thought the thing had 64K of VRAM. I had to reinstall Linux to get the piece of shit to work again. :P

Well, I'm so damned used to just getting X setup with XF86Setup (nice and quick, so shut you "I just edit XF86Config on my own" people), and they don't have anything like that with XFree86 4.1.0... bastards...
