Well, it's not a Logitech, so I don't like it.

Logitech sucks. Intellimouse rules. My Q3 frag counts are proof of that

I bought one of the optical explorer mice. Let me tell you, it sucked, big time. The whole thing was shoddy and felt as cheap as a 4$ budget mouse. The buttons felt loose cheap, like you would expect on a cheap POS and not a 50$ product. Not only that, but the scroll wheel occasionally rubbed against the side of the buttons, making it extremely annoying to use. As for the supposedly smoother and more precise feel, I didn't notice a damn thing, even when I tried. Give me my Logitech Mouseman any day.

the logitech wingman mouse rules. It is comfy and cheap. It is also grey. not white. It also says "gaming mouse"..so if you want to "game" then that mouse it #1. if you want to "intelli", whatever that is, you should get the intellimouse.

Perhaps I got the best of the batch, but my Intellimouse has stood up to nearly 2 years of brutal treatment, and still works as fine as the day I bought it. I tried one of those Logitech mice and it died in 6 weeks, plus the drivers sucked big time, caused a couple of illegal operations, etc. I’ve had no problems at all with my Intellimouse. Plus it's neat that the drivers default to changing the ps2 rate to 100 instead of the normal 40, so I had smooth game play even before I found ps2rate. But yes, that Intellimouse Explorer is shitty, I don't think I'd ever buy one myself. The wheel-less mouse might be cool though, but I'll wait till my mouse gives up the ghost before getting a new one.

Personally i'm a logitexh pilot/first mouse man myself.

I had an intellimouse, but i didn't like that bit that sticks out of the left hand side, it made me tend to orientate it incorrectly with respect to my wrist. Then the spring popped out of it's socket and i noticed that there's no apparent way to open the damn thing! they have stopped using screws, and just glue the damned thing together at the back. Ack!

One thing about it that is better IMO than the pilot mouse i have now, is the cable. Intellimice have very thin wires. The thicker wires on the logitechs can catch against the monitor or something and always be pulling the mouse off to one side.

Sorry but the a Logitech Trackman Marble rules.

Using a thumb to move the pointer is so much more efficent than moving the whole mouse, as well as being quicker and more precise.
