Wutang are okay.. so long as you like listening to irrelevant lyrics about how good they are. If you want some really good rap, check out some Dr.Octagon. He's what you might call an educated rapper. The lyrics are great and the style is different. It's a nice change from "yo yo wutang is invincible" and "we know what time it is".

Some good songs by octagon are; Biology 101, No Awareness, Half shark aligator man, A visit to the gynecologist...

If you're intent on getting some wutang.. then try Muggs presents The Soul Assasins chapter 1.

I loved Method Man's Tical 2000. Wu-Forever or whatever it is was pretty good (I still can't remember why I sold it... I must have been really strapped for cash). Most of their older stuff is good... Don't forget to get CREAM, a must have

There's nothing wrong with rapping about how damn good you are, that's how it all started anyway. Wu-Tang are the best hip-hop group on the planet. Reasons? The RZA's some kind of genius, just look at what he did on the soundtrack for Ghost Dog (he produces BTW). They've also got some of the best MCs like Method Man, Raekwon and most of all Ghost Face Killah who's in a league of his own along with the MAAAAAN Kool Keith AKA Dr Octagon. He was with the Ultramagnetic MCs and their album Critical Beatdown is a classic.

Anyway, what Wu-Tang CD to get. Probably the most recent first and then get the first if you've got the money. 36 Chambers is the best but The W is still a very good album as proved by Gravel Pit and Protect Ya Neck.
cheers

You were politely asked to take it to the rap thread, not here.

BTW Cappadonna isn't in the Clan but he was on a few tracks in Forever, their second (double) album.
cheers
