As a janator I get a behind the scenes look at alot of things. Anyway, one way that people steal CDs is by sneaking them into the bathroom, and unwrapping them THERE. That way the alarm doesn't go of when the sneak it out. ANYWAZE, being the currious type I been keeping track of which albms have get stolen most.

Out of 30 documented over the last 3 months:

15 - Missalanious Latino music
5 - Missalanious rap music
5 - Rickey Martin
2 - Primus
1 - Snoop Dog
1 - BIG BOOTY! YAH, BOYEEE!
1 - Sting

Heh... just sat on that too long... GET THE PRESIDENT ON THE PHONE!

Don't go getting any ideas from this post. If anyone sees you going into the restroom with a CD, they will watch for you to come out with it. At least, at my particular store in Des Moines -- I wouldn't really know about anywhere else.
...That many CDs in a month? That's around one a day. You'd think they'd wisen up.

maybe you shouldn't look blindly at what cd's are being stolen, but you should weight them against who steals them.

notice no backstreet boys or britney spears cds are being stolen

They SNEAK them into the bathroom Promethius! They don't just blatantly carry a stack of CDs in and come out with none!

I'm a janator at NIGHT, so my oservations are only based on that they probably don't buy the CD first, and then go use the bathroom, and while in the bathroom open it. And since I only get the after the picture view, it's impossible the judge the race of the person who STEALS them (except for "BIG BOOTY! YAH, BOYEEE!"). ESPECIALLY with latino and rap music which is borderine POP now!

Oh, and take note... NO Eminem has been stolen yet! And it's 1 every 3 days. This is 30 over 3 months.

I've also found a box for GoldenEye (N64 game) and Mario Party 2.

Sorry about the three month thing... that was a misread.
But my entire case is built around the fact that there are people watching. I agree that people don't take stacks of CD's in. But believe it or not, ONE CD disappearing is noticeable. And if we see them stick it into a pocket . . . I'm not saying that we catch them all. I'm just saying that we try and we do a good job of it.
I know for a fact that there are white "preppy" thieves, too. In fact, that's the large percent in my area. I'm more likely to watch them than a grunge. These are the kids who think it's fun, or they're just lazy. These are the real fools.

Those are ONLY accounting for the WOMENS' bathroom. You see, they have a little box on the side of every stall where they throw away used tampons. That's where they usually put the plastic wrappers. I assume that in the men's, they either flush them, or throw them in the regular trash.

Out of curiosity, PersonGuy. What ethnicity are you? I have noticed that you have darker skin, but I've never been sure. I know that ethnic biases aren't coming into play in your observations.

The skin color comes from my Indian (Native American ) blood. But I'm actually the same amount German, and EVEN MORE Dutch. Then theres a TINY amount of some other Euro stuff. I wrote it out the exact percentages one time. But the tatoo on my ass looks something like this...

Ingredients: Dutch, Indian, German, perservatives(French, Italian, Scotish)

Reheating instructions: Sprinkle with water, microwave 2 minutes on high (stir half-way), WARNING: product will be HOT
