<disclaimer> This thread does not belong in the rants section because it is not a rant. I have taken on a stoicistic approach. </disclaimer>

I failed the test, due to the backwards parking. I had to park in between 2 cars, positioned the car not far enough away. So, there wasn't enough space. I tried to correct but there was not enough space (due to some damn cars opposite) so I was trapped. *shrug* I would never have selected that space to park in in normal life!!!

I think now it's time to insert a little word about driver's license tests in Germany. It means that you sit in a car and have to drive around town for around 45 minutes. "Drive around town" means you have to go on the Autobahn, park backwards, do some turns on mean crossings... the put all sorts of traps for you. In case you get one thing wrong, thanks and try again.

Now, the thing that really sucks is that if you fail, you can retry after 2 weeks, but if you fail three times, you have to wait at least 3 months. That is the case with me now...

Don't come now and say I can't drive. I know I can, I drove EXACTLY the route for the test 2 days ago and it went great. Besides, I love driving. I hate the thought of not being able to drive now for 3 months.

Move to the US. As long as you drive slow and stop at all the stop signs, you pass. You don't even have to go on the freeway.

That's a big part of the reason there are so many crappy drivers here, but that's another topic

That really sucks Liney! If I were in your position I think I would have failed too! Luckily I passed my driving test, and got complimented on it by the lady that was doing the test. I didn't have to parallel park THANK GOD! I also think it all depends on who is testing you. The first time I took the test I failed, the second time I took the test I did everything right like the first time and I passed. The big difference was they were two different ladies! Hopefully next time you do it you will pass, just try practicing what they said you did wrong. Good luck!
