I personally have yet to see a remake of a movie that was better than the original. The original Planet Of The Apes, from what I've heard, is better than the new one. The Dune remake was all glitter and no depth. The new Psyco was an insult to Hitchcock. There are two more remakes coming out, and I have some hope for them. The first is the Tron remake. As long as they keep the story line, I think the movie could actually be good. The second is The Time Machine. I don't know how many of you have seen the original, or even read the book by H.G. Wells. I have the original on DVD and I really like it. Sure, it screams 1950-1960's, but the story behind it was a really good one. Anyway, those are just my thoughts on "remakes", or as I think of them: "Hollywood's atempt to make more money by hoping people will come see the movie just because it has the same name as a really good older movie, even though the two are almost nothing alike and they hired a monkey to write the script for the newer one".------------------ 10 PRINT "HOME" 20 PRINT "SWEET" 30 GOTO 10

Got dragged to see Planet of the Apes last night ... monkey spankin' fun ... saw Lord of the Rings preview/teaser ... I can't wait. Come to think of it, I don't think I read all the books ... uh oh.
