I have one of the medium sized ones, he perches on my bedpost with a small haggis on his head (the haggis looks like a small squished hedgehog NAMED Haggis, but I was told he's a stuffed-animal version of the haggis).

i usually say kuh-THOO-loo.  could be pronounced a bunch of ways depending on what's silent and what's not.
