Got another one today, one yesterday, click open and nothing there dated later than January...Anybody know how to turn it off? I looked around, didn't see anything...

well, how are you sure it doesn't work? try hitting shift + refresh. i've been having to do that a lot for the site lately.
PS: you can turn it off in the settings file you editted, i think.

I am 100% sure you can turn it on or off through your AdminCP. I just can't remember exactly where. Look around or ask other admins to do it.

I'm sure, too, RA, that's why I pinned it. That'll get their attention real fast. I just didn't see it offhand and there are a LOT of submenus. Kinda dry and boring too, 'cept when I saw all the smilies...

i have no idea. what exactly is wrong, it says you have PMs but there are none? may be a db error...if you really want to solve it just go to ikonboard's forums...

the little test instalation of ikonboard i had on my home lan died, but i will try to get it back up tomorrow and i'll look up the place to turn off PM for ya

This should probably fix the PM problems (IIRC, you're using MySQL for the boards). I'm still searching for something that may (not) fix the search problems.
edit - Gave up searching for a solution to the search problems. Somewhere there was mention of there being a (still existing) bug that would cause no results to show up (even when there should be), but didn't find much else.
