The new skin shouldn't have been applied unless you changed it in your control panel.  Looks like Ikonboard has a few bugz0rz :p

To use the boring default colors, go to your control panel, Account Options, and set your skin to "Standard Ikonboard Skin."

it's cool now.  the post blue is a little bright, but it's ok.  you said you're fixing the buttons, which is the only real problem I have.  well, the smilies are little goofy, but that's something I can live with.
