Why don't you check the topics in the senior lounge? Does IB3 work the same as IB 2.1.9, where access to private forums is given not through a password but through member control options in the administration center? There's like a checkbox for members to be granted access to private forums.

According to a post incubus made in another thread, all the SL posts were lost in the conversion.
