Just out of interest, why the hell do you need AOL + Cable? I mean, whats the point having both there?I know it's a possibility that the Cable might go down for a while, but you could sign up for a free ISP for that situation, as for everyone someone knows being on AOL, that makes no difference, write down their email addy's/AIM names/whatever and then set them up again on the Cable.
Trust me, I'm on a dialup, if I had the chance of getting Cable in the next 5 years, I'd get it and be happy, its much more worth the money on Cable than dialup, because on Cable, you're permanently online, so even when you aint at your machine and it isnt getting used, you can have big files downloading without having to worry about the phone line being in use, or worrying about getting disconnected all the time (coz on cable, its almost never, depending on the provider).
Add to that the fact that if you have the machines in the house on a LAN, then you're all online permanently, so you dont have to worry about people whining that they want to be on the computer doing something online when your machine is the only one with the modem or so.
The advantages are endless, the disadvantages are almost none.
Get Cable, get it now, it's worth it for what you can get it at and use it for.
