The SAT is still around, but less schools are using it for some reason...our school lets you take both. It kinda depends on the region. If someone can find an equivalency chart for ACT to SAT scores, please, post it up here.

SAT is big over here, ive heard ACT is used more on west coast, and SAT more on east coast...anyway, i havent taken the ACT, and i dont know what i would get on it, but i got a 690 on verbal and 760 on math for sat, combined 1450. in sat 2, math 2c 710(i think, that or 700) 600 on physics (that was with me only knowing newtonion physics, and this covers E&M also), and a 580 on writing. i consider the 580 on writing lucky, and im sure after all you have read all my posts youll be amazed too.

A 36 on the ACT is equivalent to a 1600 on the SAT. A 0 on the ACT is equivalent to a 400 on the SAT.
