Ok I joke around alot. I flame everyone but its all in jest. I dont really mean anything nasty I say to jynx, askheaves, solid (syf0n can burn in the eternal flames of hell for all I care) But this post is all kidding aside.

Why do we get close to people and things if we are just going loose them. Why bother having a wife or a girlfriend if at some point your going to have to face the pain of loosing them? Its not like we dont know its coming. Man has known about his mortality for thousands of years. With mortality comes death and loss. Why must we do this to ourselves.

Option A: Live hermetic life to avoid "losing" anything. Die bored and lonely.

Option B: Live well, have fun, enjoy friends and family. Feel temporary pain of loss when said items grow old and die. Eventually get over it and realize that death is a part of life. Continue having fun with others.

I choose B.

I hear ya!

I own a cat but shes a little baby kitten so she isnt going any place right now. But i feel that way about guys. Ive lost so many good friends to being in love with them and then out of love with them that I just keep thinking Im re-living the same year over and over just with a different guy each time.

Losing is part of life though and facing pain makes you appreciate all the good things you have in life. Its like that old saying "It's better to have loved and lost then to never love at all" I think that goes for most things in life. Life is not static its a dynamic entity and not to be even more cliched but they say nothing in life is constant except change itself. You have to understand that even though mortality is part of life- you are here for a reason- go find what it is and be happy.

it makes more sense to find someone with which to pass the time, and die happily, providing you find the right person...
besides, being a hermit is sort of hard these days too, (there isn't a place in the world where one cannot be reached by telephone), and being a hermit means no e-mail, no fast-food, no sex...doesn't sound too appetizing, does it?

We do this to ourselves because those who try to prevent all feelings of loss eventually become disenfranchised from the world and lose their sanity.
