I'm avoiding the stock market. I figure anything I buy is subject to drastic changes whenever anybody says anything about it in the news. Day traders and yokels are clicking the 'Trade' button like it's feeding them pellets.

I'll probably just wait until the impending crash, let everybody get all scared, and pick up some stocks while they're sitting in the ũ bin.

buy a lot of a sure stock, and let it sit there. in 7th grade (5 years ago) my grandmother bought me 10 shares of oracle for 400 dollars, and now its worth umm....about 32 dollars a share, and i have 88 (stock splits) so yeah, you pick something good, invest a whole lot, and you get a lot of return, thats a 604\% profit right now...and if i had invested 40000, thatd be mad cash...i guess about 240k....yeah

Me and some buddies decided to play the commodities on NYMEX when we were in college. Heating oil is the cheapest and so you can buy more units.
Our best was 踰 in one day. It's tough though, it starts at about 7am Western and closes at 1pm. LOADS of movement and the first time you trade you're scared shitless of losing your shirt. We had put in 񘘐 between 4 of us. We finally pulled out after breaking even after a load of ups and downs. You need a fast connection and an account with one of the trading companies. The data feed costs about 赨/month

It gets VERY addictive. You see every deal being made and the price quoted and it's a rush when you predict the trend well. I think I'm genetically coded to be a compulsive gambler 'cause I'm dying to try it again.

what you do is, after you have enough money for all the essentials (food, rent, whatever), just take the rest of that, and put it into a stock account, that you can afford to lose, and just spend that, and no more, assuming you dont overdraw, you wont fuck yourself up.
