I've pulled muscles in my ribs a number of times. Moving all my belongings, football, and (don't laugh) golf have caused it. But, it usually goes away after 3-4 days. Oh, and try the Advil / Tylenol rotation trick. Take 2 Advil. Wait 2 hours. Take 2 Tylenol. Wait 2 hours, and the advil have worn off. Repeat.
