Anyone else heard about this? Clear Channel who runs approximately 10\% of America's radio stations has put out a list of songs which are apparently "questionable" with respect to recent tragic events.

Some are intresting. Link here. http://abcnews.go.com/sections/entertainment/DailyNews/songs010918.html

A local station here decided to see how many of the hard rock songs on the list they could play tonight.

What the hell? You've gotta be kidding me! This is outright outrageous! At least I can still listen to my winamp playlist. Just goes to show one more reason why I don't listen to the radio, i.e. censorship.

I've had that list posted on my dorm room door since Monday. I've never seen so many people walk by our room, pause, and stand directly in front of my door for ~5 minutes.

The thing I cannot understand it this. Half the songs on the damn list radio stations dont even play anyway, in my area at least. The only song from Alice and Chains Ive ever heard on DC101 was Rooster and Would? Unplugged. They play Nirvana, Green Day, and Pearl Jam like 5 times an hour. I dont think Ive ever heard 1 Megadeth song even played on 98 Rock. Radio stations suck most of the time, Ill stick to my CD player...

They're not really being "banned" but rather listed as being "possibly offensive" or something. There's a Clear Channel classic rock station here that still plays a lot of those songs. Well, those that could be considered classic rock, anyway.
