A thread about predictions, premonitions, addendae. Why not ... the main thread is getting crowded anyways.I received this from a friend.
I didn't check up on the book itself. Centuries - a book of prophesies in verse...1555 Nostradamus predicted....
"In the year of the new century and nine months,

My mind is numb. I think I have had enough saturation of this terrible incident for now. I'm turning off the TV, computer, and radio. I'm putting away the newspapers. I'm going out for a run. I'm going to appreciate life instead of moping around and getting ulcers. For now. Hell, I might even overcome my fear of needles, lie about my weight, and donate blood.

ok time for some perspective In the city of God= A city/ big city
great thunder= a noise possibly loud
two brothers etc. = two nations/people/flowers
while the fortress endures= while something strong could be a tree/rock/town center
the great leader will sucumb= well shits gone down already someones probably gonna die. mabye some king dies of a heart attack
third big war will beign when city burning= really? i thought wars began when everything was just peachy. and when is a war small? in order for it to be big it cant happen very oftenhence the 3rd part.and no one would make reference to this prophecy until after two wars had already happened ffs. this could ber applied to before WW2 but cos it says the 3rd war it MUST mean now. do me a favour... slate i almost laughed in her face but you know if i had my family would disown me

Pffht that's why I said I didn't check the source - I was on my way out and computer was frying on me.I don't believe in this stuff. However, If you're Christian and believe in the stuff in revelations, fine. If you're pagan and believe in ... whatever stuff it is you believe in, fine. I just wanted to know what you guys thought, and evidently some took it the same way I did (eh, whatever), and some people reacted vehemently against it. Plus a few people mentioned that they had premonitions and someone did a drawing. It could be true, it could be false. I was curious. Hm, I guess my wording wasn't clear ... sorry about that .... I'm not numb from the "predictions", but rather, from seeing and hearing all the same stuff on TV and the radio DAY IN AND DAY OUT, and the local channels make everything cheezy w/ their stupid special commentaries. And my lab mate refuses to turn off the radio.  Didn't mean to cause any aggravation.
