bah you didn't read my article. he describes the blatent anti-buisness messages in the movie that aren't abstract at all. like the evilness of the "trade federation", or that the evil seperatists were headed by the very sinister lookling leaders of the bank federation, the commerce confederation, etc. there are also the word-for-word takes from history, like the giving of the chancellor the war emergency powers (exactly same as hitler), or the grand army of the republic (verbatim lincoln).

when i said "excluding stuff that's based on true events", i meant films that are based on true events directly(like a movie that follows the timeline of a war, not some obscure satirical references in a film that has no correlation what-so-ever to reality), you stupid ass

regarding the dumbasses saying jango is making fun of hispanics... I also found him to appear more arabic than hispanic, although I wouldn't have guessed he was either. I probably would have guessed southern european.

It showcases the best (lincoln) and worst (hitler) of mankind. We know that in the end the good guys win since those movies have already been made.
We have enough REAL problems in the world that need to be fixed without people reading to much into a FUCKING FANTASY MOVIE.

there is a difference between saying "I think jengo is hispanic, therefore lucas is stereotyping hispanics in a bad way!", and me pointing out that the heads of the evil seperatists were actually pointed out in the movie, as being the heads of the bank clan and the trade federation and the commerce guild. lucas is obviously trying to say something by this.again, for those who like to jump to flames without thinking, because you guys are all comfortable with not having to use your brains for anything, I am pointing out direct lines in the movie, not some abstract similarity.

Let's pretend that there is some hidden meaning to ALL the Star Wars films. If we ignore the hidden political commentary and focus on the fact that theyr'e cool sci-fi films, then we don't need to argue, and we can all get some popcorn and watch lightsaber duels. But, for the sake of arguement, let's look at some "hidden meanings."I'm just waiting for someone to make a connection between lightsabers and male dominance. See how ridiculous movies can get when you look for things that aren't there? Jar Jar was an idiot, but not racist. Neither is Jango Fett, Count Duku, Mace Windu, or any other Star Wars character. As for the historical references, history is so diverse that you can probably make a historical connection for 90% (my estimate) of the non-historical films out there. We should all just let it go and enjoy the goddamn movie.
