Wow, *tear in eye* reminds me of my first post

Hmm this is just another crafty way to make me crave broadband isn't it! How's about using DivX for me and my poor lowly modem using brethen? Go on, it's a good idea. Go on.. do it! You know you want to. It will make your life better! (and so on.)

...people still use modems?

I guess I'm way to used to catering to lazy college students with fat internet connections. I'll look into dropping the size. Though I'm curious... not knowing how good a video is, and being on a modem: For a two minute video, how large of a file would you dig to download?

The file sizes aren't huge at the moment.. I mean it's definatly possible for me and my modem (crafted from dinosaur bones and duct-tape) to download, but it takes away that impulsive "what the hell" thing. Ermm.. in my opinion (not gospel by any means), for a 2 minute file I'd download anything around 4.5mb - video size / framerate / sound quality / video quality would probably need messing with to get this, but I reckon with Divx you should get good results..

That freshman video looks mighty temptin'.. shave off some of the blubber and it could be me future wife

I'll look into some more modem friendly video sizes as I get a chance. I still remember my Modem Days(tm), so I feel for ya.

In the past when collegehumor.com was the only place that hosted the videos, I was just concerned with getting them small enough for them to host it. Say.. while I'm at it... I could convert the videos to ASCII (hehe)

But all joking asside, my main focus is getting some fresh content on the site right now. Check out Freshman Year though, she's pretty easy... and single.
