When the hell are they going to release box sets of Babylon 5 seasons? I really, really, really want them and they aren't making them! Pisses me off. Ok, I'm done ranting.

My fav episode is the final battle between the vorlons, the shadows, and the combined alliance under Sheridan. That is a kickass episode. Then they kicked president clark's ass. He sucked hardcore. Posted by CatKnight on Jun. 08 2002,06:27
my fav episode was the one where sinclair went back in time to steal babylon 4, and all the plot junk came together from the very first episode. woot for advanced script writing

The one with Babylon 4 is my fav, too. Really good episode. Now I'm just waiting for the third season of Star Trek: TNG to come out, I just picked up the second season the other day. Posted by Necromancer on Jun. 09 2002,00:26
i liked the one where the shadows got nuked on the islands where they were based by the leader of the clam head hair race (can't remember his name its been like 2years since i saw them all)who here actually thinks the guy had the whole thing all figured out before he even started it. He's openly said that he created a story line that spanned 5-years so that things would tie together and have everything work. And if you watch the show, it does. Oh, he messed up on little things here and there, but the big stuff all works.

Emperor Cartagia of the Centauri <--- sci fi ubergeek Posted by CaptainEO on Jun. 14 2002,07:57
My favorite space battle was the one where Bab5 decided to split off from the corrupt Earth Aliiance(?)... That was one of Foundation Imaging's finest hours. I'd put it right about up there with the battle of Endor... (shortly thereafter the special effects were taken over by Netter Digital, and we all know how that ended).Actually some of the very early space SFX sequences were pretty cool too; they really tried to stay close to the laws of mechanics back then (i.e. spacecraft only using engines to turn & pivot instead of flying straight along like jets) Posted by mqa on Jun. 16 2002,09:07
vigilante<---wrongIt was Londo Mollari of the Centauri. What pisses me off more than the box set thing is the way sci-fi channel cuts parts out of the episodes to show more commercials. Posted by Marauder on Jun. 16 2002,17:49
I'm with CaptainEO, probably because I love the CG way too much. That, and the original Starfuries are simply HOT.

it was either the cut afternoon sunday showings or the 3am uncut showings here in the uk. in a way this iwhat made it a true cult over here because only the truly obsessed watched them.

Bab 5 sux0rs! Actually, I never really got into it...a little too tacky (of course, this coming from a guy who loved Space: Above and Beyond). The one thing I liked was one of the early eps when they explained the first 4 Babylon stations. Kind of sums up the human mentality "The first 3 were sabotaged and destroyed. The fourth one just disappeared." "And you built a fifth one?" Anyone see a parallel? "The king said I was daft to build a castle in the swamp. I built it anyway. It sank into the swamp. So I build another one. It sank into the swamp, too. So I build a third one. That one burnt down, fell over, then sank into the swamp. But the fourth one stayed." Edit: quotes Posted by compact3000 on Jun. 22 2002,22:52

By far, one of the finest moments in the entire series was when J'Kar's troops were chargin into battle when Babylon 5 was being invaded. It was sad, heroic and very well filmed and scored. Made me almost weepy.

That's why the series kicked so much ass. Major battles, galatic empires, good vs evil, moments of shear joy and of complete sadness. I've got a tear just thinking about that scene.

that whole angels are really the non-shadow people (the people in the weird one eyed suits) was weirdreal mind fuck that one was. Posted by demonk on Jul. 10 2002,05:13
did you understand the point of that? The Vorlons had purposefully messed with all the younger races' genetics and legends so that they would see them (the Vorlons) as they wanted to be seen: as gods. Their true form was pure energy.
