why the hell do people say "I was waiting on line..." when referring to waiting in a physical line? It just sounds odd.

dated remark.Back in the old times they told people to stand and wait on a line of a given color.
so "Wait here, im waiting on the blue line." was something you could tell people.
quite simple.

My favorite is "I can care less"
when they mean,
"I can NOT care less".

And "bad grammer" is bad spelling. SORRY, I just hate it when people comment on grammar and spell the damn word wrong.
