I am not gay but I have some friends (some of my best friends) and relatives who are and I am sick and tired of people accusing the gay community of having a secret agenda to indoctrinate the youth and convert them to homosexuality. I don’t know about you but I have never been attracted to people of my own gender even after being around so many gay people. A lot of people I have encountered think that all gay males want to molest and have sex with little boys, maybe some do but I doubt those sick fucks are more likely in the gay community then in the general population. this shit is just making me mad! I am missing something? Is there a conspiracy I am not seeing?

I don't buy it either. It's basically more propaganda by small, close-minded bigots. I'm not gay either (although my boyfriend is...wait...um...anyway), but I don't see it as that big of a deal as long as guys don't start groping me in public or something.As for a plot to seduce children...that's just absurd.

I think there is more of a conspiracy to make young boys like girls ...it's call late-night cable.
I personally know a lot of gay people and I don't ever see them trying to convert the young. Sure most of them are openly gay (especially in places like West Hollywood where there is a high concentration of like minded people) and so some people fear that their kids will see two men holding hands and want to be gay too, but that's just lame. Kids today aren't that impressionable ...and the stupid ones that are at least won't be producing offspring. Darwinism always saves us in the end

I practice tolerance and hope others do as well.Example #1 - one of my friends is gay. He knows I'm not. It's fine. I tolerate it.
Example #2 - some flaming faggot tried to "playfully" grab my ass the other night at a club. The dozen or so people in the immediate vicinity tolerated me dealing "Mr Buck Futter" such a vicious kick to the chest that I "playfully" cracked two of his ribs.

good for you....the number of people I hear claim "I'm not homophobic, but if one hits on me I'll punch them. I mean I am NOT gay in any way so they should know not to hit on me" is infuriating. Seriously, people... they don't know if you're straight or gay until you tell them. So politely say "sorry" and let them move on to someone who is their type.
Take it as a compliment that they hit on you and leave them alone.
(and yes, I do have major issues on this subject...I came Very close to getting in a huge argument that I suspect I would've been severely injured by the end of with some guy who claimed he wasn't homophobic but proceeded to gaybash for about 10 minutes at a greyhound station - luckily my sanity kicked in and I bit my tongue.... hell it bugs me when people use "gay" as a derrogatory term even if they mean nothing by it)

Believe me, I'd expect to get a swift kick in the junk if I grabbed a girl's ass. There's a difference between flirting, being a gentleman, and being a perverted ass-grabber. And this was not a slap; this was a grab. Um...actually you deserve to be slapped if you grab someone's ass. If you try to attack them is a different story. What you did fits into the latter category in MY oppinion. Since you couldn't slap them (because guys slapping guys somehow just doesn't work) my roommate and I discussed this and think maybe a punch to the gut would suffice...kicking someone hard enough to crack ribs is a very different thing.Again, just my opinion and I'm not really big on violence to begin with (this coming from someone who loves to sword fight...)

I haven't done anything with rapier yet.. I have a little experience with fencing (foil predominantly), shanai (with a re-enactment group, they used shanai - practice swords from kendo - as practice before moving onto live steel), and stage combat....although I have the most fun with shanai so far.

I like Escaflowne and Cowboy Bebop (the kid gets annoying though) ... and Evangelion ...Used to watch so many of those at the anime club when I was an undergrad. I remeber Perfect Blue ... that was kinda creepy. Though one of my favorites is Memories ... a collection of a bunch of short stories ...

Couldn't hack real anime? Go ahead, try me. I'm by no means an otaku, but I've seen some things. The first El Hazard series was really cool, X was sweet. Lain was pretty cool, but I only saw the first one. Ever seen Nausicaa? Used to have a great fansub copy, but it disappeared.
As for funny, Ranma is classic, but try to find Dragon Half...you'll laugh your ass off.As for DBZ, I'll admit that it's amusing for one simple fact: I love a story where the hero (along with the rest of the cast) is just mind-numbigly stupid instead of the traditional perfect hero scenario. I find that entertaining.
Nikita-Memories rox0red!! Especially Stinkbomb! Eva was good, too, until the last couple of eps. I never saw the movie.

This isn't the first time Disney did this. Remember The Lion King? Disney's alleged first "original" animated film.
The anime Kimba the White Lion was the exact same thing years before. They were so arrogant they only bothered to change one letter in the name of the title character (Kimba to Simba). Of course, they're both Hamlet anyway...

Nothing against gays but having rights for ones sexual orientation is insane. I don't get special right or laws because I like women. Why then should the gay community get them. I don't understand why someone would want to use violence on a gay person who hit on them. When you come right down to it, whether gay or straight, someone hitting on you is a compliment. It's a very blatant message that you are a sexy attractive person. So if a chick hits on me, I politely tell her that I'm straight and then she goes to hit on another woman. It's not a big deal as long as the attention doesn't continue after she knows it's not welcome. Same thing when a guy hits on me. If I'm not interested, I say so politely so he can go on his way.
Now I have run across one chick who makes me go
