C'mon, you should know this: stupid people are like raindrops in a rainstorm.

There are an awful lot of 'em, and they're not searching you out, they're just passing by. It's not THEIR fault you decided to try to go walking while it's raining.

Oh, and another thing: trying to avoid 'em is like trying to dodge those raindrops. Yes, in theory it's possible, but it's outrageously difficult to get more than a few feet without running into one or two...drips.

when your firing something made to take out people in large numbers quickly it pays to be belt fed.

M134 mini-guns are only made this way. if you tried to feed it with a magizine it would suck in the magizine itself and try to spit it down range.

782 rounds per minute burst, 85 rounds per minute sustained. You can fire at 780+ rounds per minute all right, but only for a few seconds before the barrel heats up too much.......
Belt or clip fed, but obviously belt fed is primary. Compatability with standard m-16 clips was added so the guy with the SAW wouldn't be wandering around with no ammo after his belt ammo ran out. (in other words, DUH! know what the fuck you're talking about before you hit send.)

Um, we were originaly talking about the minigun (a miniture gaitling gun), so what does the SAW have to do with anything anyway?

Miniguns are belt fed becasue they're fucking designed that way. I'd like to see you design a minigun that uses clips, then when you're done, try selling that piece of shit to the Army.

So please fuck off with your "i know more than you" bullshit. You said something stupid, and i drew attention to it. Deal with it. Jesus, trying to compare apples with oranges just to win a stupid fucking argument.

You ever handle one of these? Ever carry one into combat? Ever trust your life to it? Ever had the thought that "if im going to die here im taking a shit load of them with me."? Ever put your life on the line for anything?

Do you see the little knob just in front of the handle and just below and infront of the front site. its under the barrel.

this adjusts the pressure in the gas recoil system. it has 2 settings, normal and adverse fire. what it does is tightens the spring and increases the pressure that cycles the gun after it has been fired for a while. go ask someone what the ROF is when the gun is clean and its fired with the knob turned to adverse. go on. go ask.

Personaly, i never took mine off that setting.

This is the difference between experience and bullshit.

I have been there, i have used this device to make bodies out of PDF solders, i know what the rate of fire is and i know you can still fire the gun when the barrell is white hot but the rounds tend to wander around a bit. But hey...thats why every fith round is a tracer.

This is an area in which messing with Wolfguard is not advised. There's a difference between having experience because you did things that were your job, or because you'd be the one in a body bag if you didn't and having read about it in last month's issue of Guns And Ammo.

Wolf doesn't get the luxury of detachment, and due to that you owe him a huge deal of respect. We all owe it to him to respect his experience, because he lived it. Wolf put on that uniform, and people shot at him so that it wouldn't have to be YOU getting shot at.

my original comment was a stab at something worlgaurd said that i thought was ironic.

"stupid people are why miniguns are belt fed" i couldn't imagine a clip fed one, because that would defeat the whole purpose of having a minigun. (yeah, he did mention a gun that can be clip or belt fed, but a SAW isn't a minigun.) I thought this was kinda funny.

Then wolfgaurd has to climb up on his ex-marine soapbox and preach to the ignorant masses (me) about how he knows more about shit.

And, of course, his minions have to defend him, as if he needs it.

I should've joined the air force.
I was stupid; i listened to my recruiter. Its kinda hard to walk past the recruiting office where guys are yelling "WAAZAAAAP!?" and "where's my cheesesteak yo?" and walk into the boring recruiting office where everyone is in uniform and yelling SIR YES SIR! I'll stick with boring from now on.
But i learned an important lession: never again volunteer yourself.

Ok, let me clarify what i said.

I am gratefull to all the ground pounders and grunts that die so i can continue to breathe. If it wasn't for WWII documentaries on the history channel, i wouldn't watch TV. I love the military. Used to be part of it. Soldiers make up most of the small percentage of america i consider truely american.

I am not gratefull to america as a whole, which has given me nothing but shit since day one. america is a capatilistic whore. voteing is a joke. somewhere along the lines, someone forgot what america was supposed to be.

I love what america used to be. I love what america was suppoed to be. I have no love for this government or society.

Once I accidently locked the keys in my car ...that was pretty bad. I guess both of our lives are filled with tragedy. There was no original argument from you, just a rude comment and a slur at WG's intelligence, you didn't even go along with the original rant like you moan about in 1LT's thread. Just a flame at another person. You were publicly shown up, but the worst is that you weren't just shown up to have the wrong info, you were shown up with the wrong info AND claiming high and low that you knew it all and that WG knew squat. If you're going to argue stats, don't go name calling while you do it. If you're wrong, you won't have a door out of the argument without losing face. By not using slurs, you can just walk away with learning something new and no-one feels bad.

I am sorry, I really am, that your life has been tough. But here's a little news flash: most people in this community have had similar experiences. You don't know them, you don't know us. How DARE you assume that you are the only one who has seen pain.

Let's put it in a little more perspective. You have access to a computer, and are somewhat computer-literate. That makes you one of the "elite" of the world. Chew on that.

Right now, I see you wallowing in your own self-pity. Take a lesson from anyone successful, say, (random example) kuru. She has been through more pain than most people I know, and yet she's holding down what sounds like a good teaching job. She also didn't look back.

Here's some advice. You started out rough, and may still have issues. Pull yourself together, get counselling, and pick your life up and start over. Put the past in the past, and start living your future.

Do I hate life? At times, yes.
Do I dwell on it? I try not to.

Eight years ago I was pouring coffee for minimum wage, before that I had a prestigious cashier job in a video store. But I made a conscious decision to change that. I didn't just bitch about things and wait for them to get better on their own, I went out and got a marketable skill set. Today I'm a Vice President of a huge ass company. But it's not like somebody walked into my coffee shop one day and said "hey man, I see you're a bit down on your luck ....you want a new life". So quit bitching and fix your life.
