God bless America here, oh my God there... I'm fucking sick of those people talking about their god.Where is that god when tragedies happen? (maybe they have an union up there and he's often on a break)
Where is that god when a priest sodomizes a kid and changes his young life forever? (maybe god is a pervert and loves to watch)
Does this god goes to Africa sometimes? (most children die before their 2nd birthday)
What do you think about this god anyway? I'm curious...

People talk a ton of trash about atheists and agnostics (and everyone who isn't christian) all the time. It goes both ways. I feel put upon when the news casters start babbling on about how we should all start to go to church more often and how they're lives are better for it. Put a can on it you schmuck. If I wanted to watch the 700 Club I would.The only reason I don't believe in God is it seems so arrogant. Because I believe in this supreme being, I get to live forever in eternal bliss? That strikes me as a very stupid reason to believe in God (not stupid really, just so damned arrogant...). I choose not to believe in God for just that reason. I'm no better than any of you, so why the fuck should I get special treatment.

You can get those just as easily in your local Catholic church. Unfortunately, there are no women involved.
Everyone always seems to have a "OMG! I WILL NOT EVEN LISTEN TO YOUR IDEAS!" attitude about religion, so even bringing it up will simply unleash all sides to bitch and moan about something. I've listened to about... 14 different religions, and still sit here content in my agnosticism. The entire topic is just a crazy can of worms.
But on the whole topic of Satanism/worship/etc. ANY religion that harms another person unnecessarily is wrong. And that in my mind includes oppression of other races/sexes. I think Satanism (as presented in its propaganda anyway) has some good points.
Satanism, in a way, is like Comunism..... on paper it looks good, and the propaganda is very compelling, but in reality its totaly fucked up, and people use it as an excuse to do just about anything.
If you REALLY believe that the Church of Satan worships and beleives in the mannor presented on that website, why not join them and find out?

my beliefs: I believe there is some higher power, out there, somewhere. Simply because humans suck ass, and there has to be something more powerful then us. I refuse to try to understand who/what that is, where the universe came from, my purpose on this planet, etc, etc because all it does is create more confusing questions, that lead to even more confusing questions. I also believe that everything and any thing you could think of possible, just not "likely". I refuse to believe anything is impossible. I simply like to think of it this way: He states that Hollywood is ruled/dominated by the "Illiminati" and therefore they know Satanism/Church of Satan/whatever it is and therefore they depict it best with their scary horrifying eating-of-the-bablies version. many people say that if u can't see something doesn't mean that t isn't there. however i still remain sceptical about existence of god or aliens and such.
and now a little something i picked up from highschool. i did and still am going to a catholic highschool. as such for the first few years i was forced to take religion as one of the subjects. in my grade 10 religion class we had a really cool teacher. he actually proved to every single person in the class that the bible was never meant to be taken literally and that there is a simple and logical conclusion that can be drawn every verse instead. in the essence bible is like a criminal code. it outlines certain guidelines for people to live by. but what are the rules if they are not enforced. who can enforce rules better then god, who supposedly sees and hears everything. and what better punishment for not following the rules then goin to hell. bible was written for simple people and therefore made it really simple for people to comprehend. religion is the best way to keep people inder control and following rules, but instead it was exploited in various ways for personal gain.
the main point is, bible is not to be taken literally!!! and i am sorry if am offending anyone, but i really don't understand people who beleive in every word that is writen in the bible. And i did see such people. I saw people who actually beleive that the earth was created in 7 days and don't beleive in evolution. I really feel sorry for those people.

As far as joining the Church of Satan, my mother was denied entry because she turned witches into the inquisition (or some shit) in a previous life (I am not making this shit up), and my father was a member of the Green Dragon Society (affiliated with the Church of Satan im told) but couldn't afford the registratin fee ($50 i think it was) to become a member of the 1st Church of Satan.)
As the product (i hesitate to use the word "child") of two fucked up people, i can assure you that about 80% ofeverything you've seen on tv or in the movies about satanic worship/rituals/practices is true.

I am for the most part an atheist, but that doesn’t rule out the possibility of an afterlife. They are not mutually exclusive, although I have a hard time believing in this as well. If there is an equal chance of there being a god and there not being one you have to realize that of the god possibilities there is a high probability that god doesn’t care or is a deist god. Of the god possibilities that are left you have to divide that among the amount of religions that are monotheistic, being you can’t be bias and give one religion an advantage because that is not objective. Note that atheism isn’t a religion it is the lack there of and agnosticism is a lack of a absolute belief in god or of there being no god the preverbal question mark. So what is the highest single category of choice, atheism. That doesn’t mean that there is no god but it does mean that atheism has a higher probability of being correct than any of the monotheistic religions. Some may disagree with this logic but most of these people also have a hard time separating themselves from the equation. People become very defense when I bring up math trying to show them why I believe what I do.

I reject the concept of eternal life, the idea appeals to us all because we fear death and if someone tells us if we act or don’t act a certain way we will live forever that seems like a good deal. Based on the rules of rational logic you can’t assume that there is an afterlife because you can’t see it and to assume it exists is naïve and not rational, all things that are alive die this is an undisputable fact and most things that live have the instinct of self preservation and believing in an afterlife goes right along with that.
