on sevel different ocasions I have been faced with the fact that no one knows what the fuck "got root?" means. When i was walking to my UNIX class at the junior college, I pass some college kiddies who say "Yo, where's the chronic?" and "got weed?".

The shirt is just not that at all.

You know, first you should try to figure out how you are associating root with weed. Honestly, I can't understand what the hell you're trying to say, or even rant about. I may have the intellect of a dimwitted beat cop, but, still. What the hell are you trying to say, here?

He's saying some people think "got root?" meant "got weed?" and that they think he smokes weed, but doesn't.

i've had some interesting questions while wearing my "got root?" t-shirt. most common of which is not "got any weed" but more along the lines of "yeah i got some, you wanna smoke it?"

'smoking root' bein an expression people use around here to mean giving a blowjob. i usually just laugh at these people, but sometimes i like to toy with them. it's kinda fun to tell them that their hardware just isn't leet enough for me.

on the plus side, the 'got root?' shirt is understood by some people, and it's always nice to go out with the friends, have one of the people without a clue ask a stupid question, and go for the inside joke

I have the same shirt, I wear it a lot, and I have to put up with the same shit. Like yesterday. I'm called to the front of the room to be part of a little "visual demonstration of particle reactions" in Chemistry Honors. I get up there and all of the sudden someone blurts "What's your shirt mean?"

I don't tell people I'm a computer nut until they know me. Otherwise they automatically think I'm a nerd.

"It has something to do with computers". Game over, right? Wrong...
