Why dow people hate skateboarders???? its the dumbest thing. its like "hey you can't roll on the road you'll mess it up" , or "get off the side walk you'll scratch it."sure skate boards can mess stuff up if you grind , but why dont they get a sign that says dont grind , easy right? Im serious i had a school show thing where i was supposed to skate board across the stage. It was in the middle of a closed street free pavement every where, I got on my board and stood there not rolling and someone came over asking why the hell i had it and that i needed it confiscated adn that i was messing stuff up my standing on it. its cause you take their shit. if you dont like it, go make ridiculous claims about what their doing. if your standing there, doing jack, then say to them "WATCH OUT!!!! Jesus christ, you almost knocked a little tiny stone out of the tar!!! Go fuck off, im not breaking any laws." And about the grinding thing, im not a skater, so i dunno, but if it does really fuck it up, it is illegal, based on destruction of public/private property...but if youre not hurting anything, they have no right to do shit to you.

Your right they should have signs saying 'No Grinding' - but then I saw a delivery guy with blades on go through a mall and go down a handrail INSIDE the mall and people got out of his way so he could move faster!What gets me is that there's like a seperate set of rules for bladers and skaters! What I want to know is are 'they' going to get pissed off with scooters? They do the same damage if not MORE than boards do!

its because people percive skaters as assholes. they're the pot heads at school always playing stupid ass pranks and doing the idiot beavis laugh. they also deny any responsability for anything. how many are actually like that, i dont know, but thats the stereotype anyway.

I don't hate skateboarders, I hate people who board/rollerblade/ride bike etc.. and listen to their fucking headphones! I saw a rollerblader the other day almost skate into heavy traffic, because he was listening to music.
