I think i have a handle on why the human race as a whole is getting more and more stupid.

Its my belief that the goverment has put stupid beams in orbit and these are set on wide field. as a result people are getting dumber.
I also feel that not all of us are effected by these beams. That is why we can see the effects so clearly. The goverment knows who we are and narrows the beam till it is centered on us. that is why some of us are surounded by idiots.
Rain conducts the effects of these beams, that is why people get dummer in the rain and snow(beams are constantly reflected by snow).
ever wonder why some nut cases wrap their heads in tin-foil?

or i could just be nuts.

but it would explain so much...

the sad thing is... dumb people dont know they are dumb..
they just keep walking around bothering us, stereo-typing others, laughing at some racist remark they heard earlier, while they cut someone else off in traffic and sporting an elevated middle finger.

but thats just m opinion....

the real question is.. since dumb people dont know they're dumb (which is so obvious it hurts) then.. are we dumb too ?

(ofcourse if we were, we wouldn't admit it)

FFox, I believe those words were spoken by Gandhi (#1). He also said "The more you know, the more reason you have to be sad". True, true...think I'm gonna have me a bud

I remember stumbling across something like this in a book awhile back. The author mentioned it as a kind of learning complex - the more you learn, the more knowledge you realize you do not (and cannot) possess. So you will keep learning until you know nothing. Heh, of course, that doesn't mean you should stop learning. Ignorance is still being fought, even though Stupidity was a lost battle...

Someone old and wise (damned if I remember who) once said "The more you know, the more you realize you know nothing".

This is so true. When we are young and naive, we think we know everything. When we are sitting around in grade 2, we think we have all the answers. But the more you learn about people, the world, and everything else, you realise that you know very very little about most things.

The problem with dumb people is that they don't see this... they are too dumb to realise it, so they walk around in life with that "I know everything attitude... it's the telltale sign of someone who doesn't really know that much, I often say.

That is another reason why I personally feel humbleness is a virtue... because most humble people are humble because they are smart enough to realise how little they know.

Obviously, education is a key... but education won't even help some people.
