This goes out to a few people, you know who you are.

This is in reply to the many insults made on the character of my friend StreetRaver's posts. He's a 15 yearold High School student. He's an AOL user. He's not exactly the smartest kid in the world, but he's one of my best friends. I really don't appreciate any insults to his character. He may be not be the best writer around, but he's a good kid. He's always ment well, and he's always been a good ear to all my problems. He's been going through alot of things with his girlfriend that I really don't understand, and neither does he. He's tried to come here for help, just as I have, but has found only furthur degredation. Instead of giving him only negative comments, why not point out his mistakes so that he might fix them? Don't dismiss every word he says just because he's a newbie. You never know when he might say something really thought-provoking.

Thank you.

Right you are, Caseman. Nobody should pick on a n00b without a really obvious cause. And streetraver is really a good kid. I got to talk to him a bit... he's nice.

And < your > "< stalker >

Anyway, I think given his age he should have been cut a little more slack, but without knowing that, his character came off as a lot worse than it probably was. Things got a little rough on him in the Car & Stereos thread.

Yaaaay!!

Peregrin wasn't the only one who missed you, kuru!

Back to topic (reluctantly), my take on the situation is this: I know that everyone starts off a n00b, but that doesn't excuse them from posting crap. Now, I haven't read the post that started this, but the fact is that age and personal problems aren't an invincible asbestos suit.

When you post, I don't know your age, gender, marital status, or personal problems: I just know a handle, and if you post something dumb then I will flame you for it, period. If you don't want a trial-by-fire, you have two choices: you can learn from your mistakes (and no one will hold grudges), or you can refuse, get flamed harder, and leave the forums without learning anything.

Life is not fair, life is not nice--some lessons are not easily learned, but those lessons sometimes are the most valuable.

I was never a n00b. Although I have always been lame.

You guys are all too sweet.

*kuru grins like a fool

And now back to our regularly scheduled programming....

I was once a n00b... but even then I was a geek goddess in need of worshippers.

j/k about that being a n00b part.

Thanks Caseman, You've always been a good friend to me. As for g/f shit, I'm still not sure what her problem is and probably will not for she is a girl who doesnt like being told of other peoples problems and could possibly care less if it doesn't apply to her.But I love her and i guess thats all that matters.

I know I havent posted intelligent replys and my im aware that my grammer and punctuatin is off, but to tell you the truth, I have been trying my best at it.

It didn't have anything to do with the message, it was that it was an eyestrain inducing mess. The use of 1337speak in it was well past over-the-top.

Haha! Pay no regard to him. If all else fails, make a flamepic. You don't even need to know how to use a l33t photo editing suite:

Streetraver is cool, although he didn't know what ICQ was till I told him back in September. He was gonna make a CD with the entire 11 page thread bout Sept.11 and I had 30megs of videos and pics all lined up for him, but I never saw him on ICQ more than twice.

I'm still interested in making this CD..

I'll sell you a 32m usb flash card. The kind you fit in your breast pocket...It's cool, all you do is take off the top with the pocket clip, and plug it (yes, the actual flash thingy [it's not really a card]) into your computer's usb port. You can put that 30m of vids and pics, plus some docs on it.

How much would you pay for that?

edit: I neglected to mention that it comes with a neck strap, so that you can hang it off your neck, or strangle yourself with when you realise how useless a 32m flash card really is...piece of shit...

And I should be lenient in my flaming? Look bud, you're cool -- but I don't discrminate! If someone says something dumb, I'm letting them know! Usually, with a picture of some type...at any rate, the point is...just like you said. He's 15 and he uses AOL. You haven't exactly picked the best forum on the internet for him to be a member of.

It's not like I hate him or anything, but I can think of better forums for him to hang around. Then again, if he says something intelligent....kudos to him! I'll probably mention it.

I do it post by post...

the only drawback to streetraver and caseman's case is their from florida.. other than that.. everything seems fine. </florida bashing>
