Calm, calm. I just had a midterm over 43 chapters, another 250-page book, 8 weeks of 3+ hour lectures, and 8 weeks 1+ hour labs. You'll do fine. Be careful that you don't overstudy. I can't effectively study for more than 2 hours straight. I take a 5-10 minute break every two hours or so to regain my focus (and sanity). You'll do fine. Anxiety is normal, and we all have it, especially before huge tests, but just take a deep breath and let it out. You'll do fine.

In closing, I'd like to say that I think you'll do fine. Trust me, I know how the grad school thing feels. I'm not in law school, but I am in a pretty prestegious technology program.

Good Luck, kiddo! And you'll do fine!

This is one of the reasons I enjoyed smoking so much. It forced me, by body chemistry, to leave the computer screen/ textbook every hour or so to just sit for 6 minutes and breath noxious chemicals. Very soothing for the soul. Find something similiar and pretend it's an addiction.

Some how I managed to make it through. The classroom was so fucking cold though I thought I was going to die of hypothermia, at least it kept me awake. What I truly do not understand is why I need to take a research test when we did three research projects? The other thing it tested was the writing portion of the class (differences between analogical reasoning, rule-based reasoning etc, and the parts of the writing paradigm, such as rule explination, rule application etc) but we are doing those things for this memo we have to write which is also 35\% of our grade, the research paths were 30\% and this pointless exam was 35\% of the grade. So someone in the department needs to explain to me why I spent 2 hours taking this test that will or was covered on other things we are doing or have done for this class already.

I tell you what really pisses me off about this. Even if I do really well, say really well for me is 35 questions right out of 40. If my 35 is the lowest in the class I get a D, even though I know 90\% of the work that was taught in class. That to me doesn't make any sense. I think if I get 35 questions right out of 40 I should get my A. I understand a bell curve but cannot seem to grasp why it is implimented in this fashion. It seems unfair. My roommate told me I should sue the school but I don't think I have to be that drastic. I would however like to talk to the Student Bar Assoc. or even the American Bar Assoc. to see why it is schools implement this arbitrary grading system.

There are some schools that don't even grade (its just pass fail, and they don't rank students. Or if they do grade they still don't rank students.) I don't understand the point in ranking students anyway, all it does is foster competition and rudeness, I hardly think it makes people better lawyers or better at anything for that matter. I know when competition gets really fearce I often just sit back and take failure not because I give up easily but just because I find it pointless. I am not saying a little competition is bad but to the extent my grades are concerned they can take them and shove them!
