Either, call him. If his mom is on the phone - fine. Explain her what sort of asshole her dear little boy is, and tell her that you want to get that book back.Or, get a friend to call his house. Something that might be even better would be something like an older person - aunt, grandma, something of the kind. Good luck... and btw, I'll miss you when you go to law school. That tuition bill my parents "paid" well I actually had to go down to the office to pay it (which is across the street from where I work) but I got the Attorney General's office and that place is closed off like fucking fort knox during a nuclear war. So I call to have one of these bastards come out so that I can give them my money (which you would think they want)I wait 10 minutes finally someone shows up and shes a total bitch to me for like 2 minutes (hello please don't piss me off its monday and I am skipping my lunch for this shit). Now before I went down there I knew I was six bucks short so I asked her if I could write a check and if they would call over to University at Albany and have them release the hold on my account (so I can send my last transcript so that I can attend school) and she said "not if you give me a regular check I can't" and I said well I have cas..and before I got to finish she said "We dont take cash" so I said "what can I.." and before I got to finish she said "Well if you have cash you can go get a money order upstairs" and then proceeded to give me directions- so in high healed shoes and a skirt I go upstairs to get this 6 dollar money order done- which cost me an additional 90cents. Fine I come down to the AG's office again and this time a different woman is standing there with my file. And she says to me "Because interests ecrued on your account you owe us an additional 26 dollars" now its 1:30 and I have 15 minutes left for lunch. So now me again in highhealed shoes and skirt up the stairs to get a money order which cost me 90 (so now total I spend an additional 90cents because these people are so damn STUPID)- I pay them finally- I ask if there is anything else I owe and she hands me a piece of paper with a 7.58 bill from the university health center and a number to call the university Library. Here is where the story gets really depressing. I have the 7.58 cents to pay the bill for the health center (and it was something I already knew about). I call the library- I cant imagine what I have outstanding there I didnt take any research classes last semester- I dont even remember going into the place. Fine I call and I ask her what the title of the book is that is missing and she gives me the name and I start to cry because I know who has the book- my exbf who I havent spoken to in about 4 months or so and I have been trying to contact him. So I ask her "How much to just pay for the book with the fines?" she says "fifty-eight dollars" I almost slit my wrists right then and there- I dont have an additional 58 bucks after the fucking AG's office just bled me dry and the health center, not to mention I owe a phone and cable bill--- So here is the real problem- I dont want to have to call his house because the chances are pretty good that I will end up leaving a message with his mother (who btw hates my fucking guts) and he more than likely will not call me. I don't know what to do. Ive written him several emails and tried various ways of contacting him without actually calling his house. If I were in your position I would have a friend that his mom wouldn't know call or go over to his house for you. That way he would get the message or he might even be there! Hope this helps, I feel totally bad for you cause I have been having money problems myself! ------------------ |
