WTF is it with all the personal insults on detnet recently? Even I've done it a couple of times. We all know each other pretty well, I'd regard a lot of you as friends. So why do we all keep being mean to one another? What's the point?

Just because someone has a different opinion to you is not justification or prompt to start attacking their character! Having differences of opinion is the point of a discussion. Hence a forum.

Ok, it goes a little deeper for some people, i.e. Jim/Kuru, but they kinda have a lil' tally to keep. But as for everyone else ... why?

Just trying to keep the peace here dudes

when i insult people, usually it doesnt mean anything unless theres something like "asscock" or "whorebitch" or "cockwhore" in there. those bad insults are what come out when im too pissed to figure out a good insult...

I haven't done it much.. possibly once or something at root and hyperponic or whatever his nick is for posting that eternal popup site.

Anyhow, when someone insults me I don't take pretty much any offense unless I'm really pissed.

It might be because most of us have the same types of personalities. ENTP's usually don't take other peoples opinion into account.

That, or I'm just crazy.

Well, what is a forum if you don't have bitching. I can't see it being any fun.

I mean, if I wouldn't have cought hell for proposing to Ch1ckie, I wouldn't have done it. I mean that is what it is for, I have a good professional side that I have to show at work, and a dark evil side that I have for the rest of my time.

I think what Incubus meant by bitching was not so much the friendly jabbing, as the animosity.
The embodyment of this sentiment is probably the 'Rap' thread. just a huge hornets nest of flames. no fun at all

I'm being different. Like my best mates are all referred to by insulting names, but thats different. Laying into each other with malicious intent for no other reason that you disagree with their opinion is a bit shit, IMHO.

And as for gurl boy, mah hair's over 2 feet long, so I guess yer not far off. Muaha.
