Come on people ... I know someone mentioned this earlier ... but if we are a group of l33t intellectuals, et cetera, then why does the average computer "male" turn into a prick as soon as a remotely attractive woman turns up on the scene? I mean, fuck that, there are more attractive women go in your pub, live across the road, in your class, so why do people on here for example go all out to impress the couple of girls on here like flies around dogshit^H^H^H^H^H^H^H^H^H^H^H^H^H^H^H^H^H^H^H^H^H^Hbees around a rose?

I'm all for equality on here and judging people by how they act, are you?

Rant over, I'm sure I'll get flamed to hell and back for this but is is the rants section and it pisses me the hell off.

Who said anything about being "average", ever heard of Courtesy, Complements or being friendly.

Must agree with you though, why spend all of your time online, personally I prefer going to the gym and then the pub.

-An hour spent online, is an hour wasted better spent doing something else-, I be flamed for this but I still manage 3-4 hours a day.

Incubus, you got a point, some people are just like that, those are the ones that you commonly find "have a 4kb porn directory.. oh wait!! It's a shortcut to a 50gb disk array".

Myself, I'm all for flirting with pretty girls online, but thats all I do, I just flirt, I dont go all "ga-ga" as jim puts it.

I can almost guarantee that half the guys on the net that have tons of porn and go "ga-ga" around women/girls they dont even know, and probably will never know, are the ones that have absolutely no life, and couldnt get a girl if their life depended on it.

Myself, I cant afford to keep myself living, nevermind keep a chick on the go as well, as more often than not, having a girlfriend tends to cost more than your average house. At least, it is round here..

I don't like it on the BBS, cause it justs wastes my time when I'm trying to read 100 other new posts. Save it for ICQ, I won't get pissed at that stuff over there. =p

i'm way with kayy. women are damn expensive. i don't make six digit figures doing something i love i.e. anything with computers, i make six bucks an hour in a dead end job and that doesn't support the hours to put gas in my car and go out much. some women understand that, and that's great, but i've met a few more that just don't. the dumb prick in the shiny new cobra is picking up women and he can't find his ass with both hands. it boggles the mind.

but i don't hit on lizzy either. i spend a few hours a day online, but that's between here, firingsquad, and diablo2(beta). when i actively start hiting on (note the difference from flirting; i don't flirt much, but far be it from me to discourage anyone else) women online everyone has my permission to bitch slap me back to consciousness.

I once met this girl online and we got to be pretty good friends. We were chatting once and I decided to wander off for a bit and make myself some popcorn. When I came back, I realized I had never hit enter after typing afk, so she had gone through this whole sob story about her early teen years, thought I wasn't listening, got mad, and hasn't spoken to me since. Oh well.

Hate meating girls I've been chatting with on the net. It's always so ackward. But flirting with girls in lectures at school, that's fun. Especially when their boyfriends comes over to kick some ass. Then they get some quick punchlines back in their face (usually) and mostly sits down blushing. Flirting with girls on irc or whatever isn't flirting...that's talking.

The net doesn't replace the real thing! You can't even see the girl when your comments and compliments are doing their job...you have to wait until you get some weird response. Which is almost always some prefab smiley. Smileys doesn't turn me on anyway, but a cute good looking shy blushing girl does

hehe. I really don't like flirting on the net...heck I barley like talking on the net. I did point out a few times how hot liz is, but I was just being kind and spreading the word. Anyways, talking on the net seems dry to me. I can't talk to people very well without seeing their reaction (mostly body language) and hear the tone in his voice. Flirting on-line is just a way to make someone hate you.
