easy fix for your novel servers

run the Migration tool for netware from a NT Domain controler.

Us addusers from the reskit to export the users to a text file

Import this into a linux box running samba.

Place the linux server install cd into the novel server and reboot.

oh, i understand, i just dont feel bad. well, a little. my school ran novell. for some reason this meant that ALL our pcs had to run 95, no matter what they were capable of. then there was the time that the network crashed because my entire VB class tried to download the VB packet at once (it was 200 mb. about 30 connections downloading 200 mb at once. it took 2 minutes to crash. yeah, novell blows. (but what can you expect from a tech leader person who thinks that the server should be run off of a mac? theyre good for graphics, but not too much after that)

Yeah, isn't it really funny how MS is ALMOST catching up to NDS with their ADS. (NOT)

For all it's minor faults, it's still pretty reliable. Stuff like Zenworks is free. I think the worst problem is that most bad networks with Novell (or any opsys for that matter) were set up by someone who shouldn't be trsted with anything more complex than a flashlight, and then others are left to deal with it.

Novell? havent had to talk to them yet. the sysadmin has that job. but i did have to talk to a guy from Dell. he spoke no fucking english. and all i wanted him to do was to send someone to come and replace an LCD screen from a Laptop.

the funny thing is, the guy who was using the laptop dropped it down a flight of stairs. HAHAHHAHAHHAHAHA!
it was in the case, but the LCS screen had a BIG ASS CRACK in it. i should of taken pictures.
